The Distribution Committee awarded four grants to non-profit organizations ranging from $3,000 to $36,000. The Meriden New Britain and Berlin YMCA received the largest grant for pool deck improvements and a water expansion tank replacement. John Stanton, Vice Chairman, said “this grant will help them maintain and/or increase membership both throughout the year and the summer months.”
Other recipients include the Horace Bushnell Memorial Hall Corporation, Literacy Volunteers of Greater New Haven, and MidState Medical Center.
The next deadline to submit grant applications is December 15, 2021 and awards will be announced in January 2022.
